Inside Erling Haaland's Dubai villa
What makes the story particularly compelling is that Alfie Haaland, Erling's father and a former professional footballer who played for Manchester City, has also reportedly purchased a home in the same project.
While reports do not confirm the two properties sit directly next to each other, both father and son are now buyers within a development closely tied to the Manchester City brand.
The Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana is being developed by Ohana Development and is promoted as the club's first branded residential project.
Planned to house more than 2,000 residences, including townhouses and four- and five-bedroom villas, the development is designed around waterfront living.
Phased delivery is expected to begin in 2029. Planned facilities include a Manchester City training academy, football pitches, a skate park, a karting track and a marina sports club.
The site also sits close to Ferrari World, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi and the Formula 1 circuit. Former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly been associated with the project as its brand ambassador.
Haaland's broader property portfolio
The Abu Dhabi purchase adds the UAE to a list of countries where Haaland has been linked to property.
In England, he reportedly owns a four-storey, ten-bedroom mansion in Cheshire valued at approximately KSh 1 billion, complete with a swimming pool, a lake, a treehouse and stables.
In Spain, Haaland has been linked to a luxury home on Marbella's Golden Mile, reportedly worth around KSh 940 million, though a confirmed purchase has not been conclusively established.
His reported Norwegian holdings include an apartment in Oslo's upscale Sommerro development, valued at approximately KSh 478 million, as well as two apartments in his hometown of Bryne, reportedly worth KSh 149 million and KSh 73.7 million respectively.
One of the Bryne properties was previously associated with his father.
The Abu Dhabi villa represents the latest addition to a portfolio spanning four countries, reinforcing Haaland's status as one of football's biggest earners off the pitch as well as on it.
