Horses and Sunset-Hued Waters Create Picturesque Scene Along Jeddah's Coast
As the sun dipped toward the horizon, Jeddah's coastline took on shades of orange and gold, creating a striking backdrop for horses whose steps through the shallow waters sent ripples across the sea and brought movement and life to an otherwise tranquil scene.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) captured the moments in a series of photographs that brought together the interplay of light and shadow, the silhouettes of horses and riders, and the calm of the coastal setting. With the sun low on the horizon, its warm colors stretched across the water, where the horses and their riders stood out against the glowing sky and its reflection.
The sea added another dimension to the scene, mirroring the horses as they moved through the water. Their reflections broke apart with each ripple, while their steps left fleeting trails across the sunset-colored surface. Beyond them, the distant horizon remained calm and unbroken, deepening the sense of stillness.
The photographs also captured the expanse of the coastal landscape, with warm hues spreading across the sky and reappearing in varying shades on the water below. Moving between the two, the horses drew the eye to the shifting relationship between light, water, and motion.
More than a sunset spectacle, the scenes offered a glimpse of Jeddah's coastal beauty through the meeting of nature and movement. The horses brought a living element to the seascape, transforming the sunlight reflected on the water with every passing step and leaving traces that disappeared almost as quickly as they formed.
Together, the images captured two movements unfolding at once: the sun sinking toward the horizon and the horses continuing their passage through the sea. Between the glowing sky and the rippling water, Jeddah's shoreline became a canvas for a fleeting scene, painted in the colors of dusk and reflected across the waves.
