By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belize’s new air link with Germany is not just about German tourists.
Discover Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, will begin seasonal flights from Frankfurt to Belize City on December 16, 2027. Because Frankfurt is one of Europe’s major hubs, travellers from cities like London, Paris and Amsterdam will be able to connect through Frankfurt to reach Belize.
That opens up access to a much wider European audience than a single city route.
Flights will run twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, until mid April 2028. The timing lines up with Belize’s dry season and Europe’s winter, when many travellers look for warm getaways.
Tickets are expected to go on sale in mid December 2026.
Discover Airlines will be the first European carrier to operate scheduled flights to Belize.
