A technology company founded by Croatian entrepreneurs has reached a reported valuation of $1 billion following a $60 million Series B investment round, marking a new milestone for Croatia’s technology sector.
Daytona, co-founded by Ivan Burazin, Goran Draganić and Vedran Jukić, announced the funding round on their website.
The round was led by FirstMark Growth. Other investors included prominent technology entrepreneurs and companies associated with Stripe, Shopify, Perplexity, Zoom, Datadog, Quora and Mercor. Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next and Okta Ventures also participated as strategic investors.
Daytona was established in 2023 and initially developed tools to manage software development environments. In 2025, the company shifted its focus towards infrastructure for AI agents, a fast-growing area of the technology industry.
AI agents are software systems designed to perform tasks with varying degrees of autonomy. Their development requires computing environments in which code can be executed, tested and managed securely and at scale.
Daytona provides infrastructure for creating and managing these environments. The company says its platform is used by technology businesses, including Meta and Cohere, as well as firms developing AI products and services.
“We believe the next infrastructure shift is from human-centric cloud primitives to agent-native ones. Daytona’s breakthrough is making ‘a computer for every agent’ practical: instant startup, persistent state, and the tooling agents need to write code, use Git, and execute safely at scale. That’s a foundational building block for the agentic economy,2 said Matt Truck from FirstMark.
According to the company’s figures, revenue had increased approximately 25-fold since January. Its reported net revenue retention rate was around 135 per cent, indicating that existing customers were spending more on its services over time.
The company also cited examples of its platform supporting large numbers of computing environments. One customer reportedly launched 300,000 environments in a single month using Daytona’s infrastructure.
Although headquartered in San Francisco, Daytona has development teams in Split and Zagreb. Its growth therefore provides another example of a company with Croatian entrepreneurial roots operating within the international technology market.
The reported valuation places Daytona alongside Infobip and Rimac Automobili among Croatian-founded businesses described as unicorns, privately held companies valued at $1 billion or more.
