The Ottawa Senators announced on Monday morning that Green has signed an extension through the 2030-31 campaign. His staff was also extended through the same stretch.
Green had this season and 2027-28 left on his deal, which means he received a three-year extension, along with assistants Mike Yeo, Nolan Baumgartner, Ben Sexton and goalie coach Justin Peters.
The Senators have made the playoffs in Green’s first two years behind the bench. The club is off to a 6-3-0 start in the first nine games of the regular season with the Florida Panthers coming to the Canadian Tire Centre on Wednesday night.

Steve Staios, the club’s director of hockey operations and general manager, is confident that Green is the right man to lead this club to the next level.
“When I was in the search to identify our head coach two years ago, it was clear to me that Travis had the qualities to move our team forward. I have watched him implement systems and structures that have reinforced my belief in his coaching abilities,” Staios said. “We share the same vision and philosophy and are confident we can continue to build on our team.”
