In a recent report, Tuttomercatoweb mentioned that Liverpool are eyeing a move for Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu. It is believed that the Reds have set their sights on the French centre-back ahead of a potential move for him next year.
Kalulu’s Impressive Form In Serie A
Kalulu has made a solid start to this campaign after he produced a series of impressive performances at the heart of Juventus’ defence. The 26-year-old has featured in eight matches for the Turin club this season across all fronts.
The 26-year-old is currently among the most talented centre-backs in Serie A. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Reds are hoping to land him next year.
His current contract at the Allianz Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Liverpool to land him on a cut-price deal this January or at the end of this campaign.

Should Liverpool Boss Andoni Iraola Get Kalulu On Board?
Kalulu is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot and is proficient at playing his way out from the back.
The French sensation has proven himself to be a consistent performer in Serie A, but needs to add a few goals to his game. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to get a deal done for him next year.
We can expect Kalulu to add more bite and steel to Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola’s backline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Anfield in the coming years and could prove himself to be an ideal long-term successor to Virgil Van Dijk at the Merseyside club.
At 26, Kalulu has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Reds to pursue in this January transfer window or next summer. He will also help the Merseyside giants compete across all competitions over the next few years. All in all, Iraola would be wise to go all out to get Iraola on board soon.
