Doogee previewed an interesting phone at the 140th Canton Fair – a widescreen slab phone that seems heavily inspired by the Huawei Pura X View.
The Doogee Note60 W has a 6.38” display that seems to have the same 5:3 aspect ratio as the Pura X View. That one has a 6.39” display and while that sounds small, it measures 144.1mm tall and 87.0mm wide. For reference, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is 163.4mm tall and only 78.0mm wide.
The Doogee phone will have a 90Hz display and will come with Android 17 out of the box. It will pack a 6,500mAh battery inside an 8.4mm body, which isn’t as impressive as the Huawei phone (7,000mAh, 6.7mm).
Alas, these are all the specs that we have so far. There is no word on when the Doogee Note60 W will be available and how much it would cost. This should be much cheaper than the Pura X View – what we know about it suggests that the Note60 W will be a mid-range or even an entry-level phone. The Pura X View starts at CNY 6,000, which converts to $900.

Looking at the Doogee Note59 Pro+ is probably a good way to set your expectations – the 720p+ resolution and the Unisoc T8200 chipset should give you an idea of what to expect from the Note60 W (one imagines that “W” stands for “Wide”).
Doogee isn’t alone in this, we’re seeing reports that Coolpad is working on a similar wide slab.
