A news release issued by Prince District RCMP said the detachment is investigating the two-vehicle head-on collision that occurred on Route 2 in Norboro Tuesday morning just after 8 a.m.
Prince District RCMP, along with Kensington Police Services, the Kensington Fire Department, and Island EMS, responded to the collision approximately five kilometres east of Kensington on Route 2 in Norboro.
RCMP say early indications suggest that the SUV crossed the centre line and collided head-on with the commercial truck. Route 2 was closed for approximately six hours while emergency crews responded to the scene and an RCMP collision reconstructionist conducted an examination of the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing.
