KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad says the party is grateful to be contesting five seats in the Melaka election on Nov 14.
He said Pakatan Harapan remains united on the seat allocation, adding that Amanah, which has been part of PH since the coalition's formation in 2015, had always acted in tandem with its partners.
"What matters most in any election is that Amanah has consistently acted — forgive me if this sounds 'holier-than-thou' as that is not my intention — in tandem as a unified coalition.
"You rarely hear of internal conflicts within Pakatan Harapan during elections," he told reporters after the 2026 National Mental Health Month Celebration today.
Dzulkefly said the allocation was finalised after exhaustive deliberations and negotiations, and all levels of the coalition would abide by the decision of PH's top leadership.
He said Amanah would now focus on winning all five seats.
"Being allocated many seats is meaningless if you don't win them. What we have is sufficient, and we will do our utmost to support one another and deliver victories for all Pakatan Harapan candidates contesting in Melaka," he said.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced 21 PH candidates for the 28-seat Melaka polls, with Amanah Melaka chairman Adly Zahari set to defend his Bukit Katil seat.
