The High Court has issued a notice for the public auction of a 2021 Ford Ranger Raptor belonging to Austin Elindi, who is facing charges in a corruption case linked to the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor).
According to a notice of sale in execution, the vehicle will be auctioned on 29 October at Advanced Refrigeration at Oshakati by the deputy sheriff of Ondangwa.
The sale follows a judgement granted by the High Court on 28 November 2025 in a matter involving Bank Windhoek Limited as the plaintiff, and Elindi as the defendant.
“In a matter between Bank Windhoek Limited, plaintiff, and Austin Elindi, defendant, notice of sale in execution of a judgement against the above defendant…the following will be sold by public auction: 1x 2021 Ford Ranger Raptor,” the notice says.
Elindi owns Erongo Petroleum and is a director of Enercon. He is facing seven charges, including fraud or theft by false pretences, corruptly giving gratification and money laundering.
The state alleges that between December 2022 and May 2023, Elindi defrauded Namcor of fuel valued at N$238.6 million by falsely representing that the fuel supplied to Erongo Petroleum had been paid for when it had not.
He is also accused of corruptly giving N$500 000 to former Namcor finance executive Jennifer Hamukwaya in December 2022 in exchange for her approval of the fuel supply to Erongo Petroleum.
The auction notice does not state whether the sale is directly connected to the Namcor case.
The vehicle is being sold in execution of the judgement in the separate matter involving Bank Windhoek and Elindi.
