Around 40 people came together in Jávea for a charity coffee morning that raised €300 to support people affected by cancer in the local community.
The event, organised in support of Cancer Care Jávea, brought residents together for two hours of coffee, conversation and fundraising at The Meeting Place, The JIBC Cafe.
Community support makes a difference
The charity thanked everyone who attended, highlighting how the money raised will help it continue providing essential services to people living with cancer.
Although the gathering was informal, the €300 raised will contribute towards the organisation’s work supporting patients and their families during what can be an incredibly difficult time.
Cancer Care Jávea provides free nursing care and practical support for people affected by cancer in the local community. Donations and fundraising events help the organisation continue delivering these services to those who need them.
The coffee morning demonstrated how local residents can make a contribution simply by coming together and supporting a community initiative.
Charity thanks local cafe team
Cancer Care Jávea also extended its thanks to the team at The Meeting Place and The JIBC Cafe for hosting the gathering and helping make the event possible.
The charity expressed its gratitude to everyone who took part, with the turnout of around 40 people reflecting the community’s willingness to support its work.
Every euro raised helps the organisation continue offering care and assistance to people navigating the challenges of cancer.
The fundraiser is another example of how community events can help local charities maintain vital services, while giving residents an opportunity to connect and support a cause close to home.
From a simple cup of coffee to the money collected throughout the morning, the event showed how small contributions can add up to meaningful support for those facing a cancer diagnosis.
Cancer Care Jávea shared its thanks following the event, recognising the generosity of those who attended, enjoyed a coffee and contributed to the fundraising effort.
