Train services to be short-terminated, diverted in Erode-Karur section

Sleeper renewal and track maintenance works in the Erode–Karur section will affect train services on October 22, 24, 27, 29 and 31.

A release from Salem Railway Division said Train No. 16846 Sengottai–Erode Express, scheduled to leave Sengottai at 5.20 a.m., will be short-terminated at Karur Junction on those five days. After completion of the works, it will operate as an unreserved special train from Karur Junction to Erode Junction, with the same stoppages as the regular service.

Train No. 16844 Palakkad Town–Tiruchi Express, scheduled to leave Palakkad Town at 6.30 a.m., will be short-terminated at Pugalur on October 22. On October 24, 27, 29 and 31, the train will be short-terminated at Kodumudi. After completion of the works, it will operate as an unreserved special train from the respective stations to Tiruchi Junction, with the same stoppages as the regular service.
