Cuban Artists Unite to Celebrate El Taiger: "The Greatest of All Time"

In a heartfelt tribute, eight prominent figures from Cuba's urban music scene have come together to honor the late El Taiger with the release of "The Greatest of All Time." This track features the voices of Lenier, Helabusador, Seidy La Niña, El Yonki, El Micha, Yomil, and Chocolate MC.

The official video premiered on Wednesday on the deceased artist's YouTube channel, just a few weeks after the second anniversary of his passing, which was observed on October 10.

For El Taiger's fans, the most moving aspect was hearing his voice once more, recorded prior to his untimely death, in lyrics that resonate with his legacy: "I have swagger and talent, I have heart and feeling / I am the greatest of all time."

Lenier Mesa took to Instagram to announce the release with a straightforward message: "The 'Greatest of All Time' is out now, a song for the ages, enjoy it."

The post quickly garnered over 8,700 likes and 276 comments, while the official YouTube video amassed more than 120,000 views.

Among the comments on Lenier's post, Yomil shared touching words that moved followers: "A thousand thanks for the invitation again, my little brother, José must be enjoying it in heaven, and let's not forget Mauro's mix, the greatest of all time, I love you all."

Yomil has consistently paid tribute to his colleague since his death, frequently visiting his grave at the Colon Cemetery in Havana, where the artist's remains are laid to rest. Lenier, on the other hand, honored El Taiger by tattooing "LBMA" shortly after his passing.

El Taiger was shot on October 3, 2024, in Miami and succumbed to his injuries a week later at the Jackson Memorial Hospital, at the age of 37.

For this crime, Damián Valdez-Galloso faces first-degree murder charges; he has pleaded not guilty, and the trial is slated for 2027.
