Anne Carson's novel "Autobiography of Red" topped Yes24's overall bestseller list for the second week of October, after the Canadian writer won this year's Nobel Prize in Literature. Blurring the line between poetry and fiction, the work follows a boy born as a monster who searches for himself through love and loss. Interest spread across Carson's broader body of work after the Nobel announcement, putting four of her titles in the top 20: "The Beauty of the Husband" at No. 8, "Eros the Bittersweet" at No. 10 and "Short Talks" at No. 16. "Nox" came in at No. 22. In the seven days after the award was announced, sales of Carson's books rose about 224-fold from the previous week.
"Trend Korea 2027," written by Kim Ran-do and 12 co-authors, ranked second overall. Demand held up as the fourth quarter began and readers looked ahead to next year's consumer and social trends. Buyers in their 40s and 50s accounted for 67.9% of purchases.
