A Ukrainian man from the town of Horishni Plavni proved that creativity does matter when it comes to saving things. The rear part of his Tesla Model 3 was damaged in a traffic accident beyond repair. Luckily, the car was still drivable, so the man came up with the idea of converting it into a pickup truck with an open cargo bed, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported.
According to the agency, after the conversion, the vehicle kept its electric powertrain but took on a new purpose: delivering groceries to residents in rural areas.
Official registration
Once the mechanical work on the project was completed in a garage, the vehicle underwent a conformity assessment and received an official certificate.
The paperwork concluded with the vehicle’s re-registration at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center in Horishni Plavni, making the structural changes to the vehicle official.
