The vacancies, declared through the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development's State Department for Housing and Urban Development, are spread across 17 fields.
These include architecture, civil engineering, construction management, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, quantity surveying, structural engineering, health and safety, land surveying and geo-spatial studies, landscape architecture, real estate, valuation, social development, and urban and regional planning.

To qualify, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or diploma in one of the specified fields from a recognised university and must have graduated no earlier than 2020. Candidates are also required to demonstrate proficiency in computer skills and must not have previously benefited from a government internship programme of a similar nature.
The positions carry a non-renewable tenure of 12 months. Interns will receive a stipend at a rate determined by the government, and those who successfully complete the programme will be awarded a certificate by the State Department for Housing and Urban Development.
Roles and Application Deadline
Once deployed, interns will be expected to carry out duties assigned by their supervisors, document skills acquired at Affordable Housing Programme project sites across the country, and participate in mentorship activities designed as part of the programme.
The largest single allocation goes to architecture graduates, with 475 degree-level vacancies on offer, followed by 500 positions in construction management. Social development has the smallest allocation, with 115 slots available.
