Three members of the family were present at the site when the structure came down. One of them, the youngest sibling, was recovered late on Friday night.
Asiya and Abdirahman, however, have yet to be found, and their family continues to wait with no word on their whereabouts.
The family has urged Kenyans to share the siblings' names and photos as widely as possible, hoping that someone who may have crossed paths with them or has any information about their condition will come forward.
The scale of the tragedy extends far beyond one family. The Kenya Red Cross Society has confirmed that 31 people remain unaccounted for following the collapse.
A number of those missing are believed to have been inside or near the 11 shops that operated on the ground floor of the building at the time it gave way.
Search and rescue teams have been working through the rubble continuously. Two survivors were pulled from the debris on Saturday evening, offering a fragile but welcome sign that hope is not yet exhausted.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen confirmed that 66 of the 67 construction workers present at the site managed to escape without harm.
For the Mubarak family, each hour without news is its own kind of weight. Behind every name on the list of the missing is a household waiting for a call, a knock, any sign that someone they love is still alive.
