The Indianapolis Colts are 2-4 on the year and just lost to the Tennessee Titans in Week 6. After that brutal loss, the Colts fired general manager Chris Ballard.
A lot of focus is now on the Colts, with plenty of teams interested in the potential trade targets they could acquire from Indianapolis. But the Colts are willing to give the Colts and Shane Steichen a chance this season. Unfortunately, it just got very hard for Week 7.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Colts announced that both tight end Tyler Warren and cornerback Sauce Gardner are going to miss the team's Week 7 matchup. It's two brutal blows for very important players for a team that needs all the help they can get.
Colts get bad news as Tyler Warren and Sauce Gardner are ruled out for Week 7
"Colts HC Shane Steichen ruled out CB Sauce Gardner (calf) and TE Tyler Warren (groin) for Sunday's game vs. the Vikings," Schefter reports.
This is a huge piece of news for the Colts, as they're now down two of their most important players for their Week 7 matchup against the undefeated Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings are an elite defense, so losing such a good receiver in Warren is a tough blow for Indianapolis' offense this week.

But the really big loss is Gardner, especially considering who he would've been covering on the Vikings. Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison are two elite receivers, and they might be in store for a huge day against the Colts with Gardner out.
While neither player is likely to miss a lot more time, both players are missing Week 7, which has become an important game for a Colts team on the verge of some major changes this season.
Daniel Jones and the Colts are facing quite the uphill battle in Week 7 against the Vikings, and that was even before the Warren and Gardner injury updates were revealed.
