Nico Ali Walsh comeback stalls as he drops unanimous decision to unbeaten Treavon Craycraft

Looking to mount a comeback Saturday night after 10 months of inactivity largely spent in pursuit of boxing reform, Nico Ali Walsh, the grandson of Muhammad Ali, claimed he was eager to show off the improvements he’d made while preparing for his ring return with now-retired Terence Crawford trainer, Brian “Bomac” McIntyre. However, fighting in the middleweight main event of the “Heart of America Pro + Am Boxing Invitational” at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas, Ali Walsh instead dropped a disputed unanimous decision to Craycraft, 10-0-1 (3 KOs), of Ambridge, Pennsylvania, by scores of 78-74, 77-75 twice, not in his favor.
