UFC Edmonton’s most brutal knockout might have occurred outside of the octagon.
During Saturday’s UFC event at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, a clip of a violent crowd brawl went viral on social media. The clip allegedly depicts an incident involving fans, arena security, and Edmonton police officers, culminating in an officer appearing to grab a person from behind and launch them backwards with a suplex resulting in a hard fall on the ground.

The impact of the suplex immediately rendered the person stiff. It also looks as though he may have been subsequently tasered, though the action is unclear.
MMA Fighting has reached out to the Edmonton Police Media Relations Department regarding the veracity of the clip, and for any further information regarding the incident, but is yet to receive a response.
UFC Edmonton had no shortage of in-cage excitement, with 12 of the event’s 13 fights ending via knockout or submission, including the main event, which saw Canada’s Mike Malott earn a huge win via a second-round knee KO over Joaquin Buckley.
