Gas supply will be temporarily suspended in several areas of Rawalpindi city and cantonment from 8:30 pm on October 17 until 6 am on October 18 due to pipeline work related to the Peshawar Road underpass project.
According to a spokesperson for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), the shutdown is necessary to connect a section of the main gas pipeline as part of the ongoing construction work.
The affected areas include both sides of Murree Road from Saddar to Faizabad, Peshawar Road between Golra Mor and Saddar, and localities along Adiala Road and GT Road. Qasim Market, Westridge, and other neighborhoods along Peshawar Road will also experience the temporary suspension.
SNGPL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements during the shutdown. According to the announced schedule, gas supply is expected to resume at 6 am on October 18.
