Ryan Gosling is returning to music for the first time in 17 years.
The 45-year-old Hollywood star is best known for his big screen career, but back in 2009 he teamed up with friend Zach Shields to form Dead Man's Bones.
Almost two decades after their self-titled debut record, the duo have announced they will be releasing new music on October 27.
On Thursday (22.10.26), the pair posted a spooky Instagram video in keeping with their comeback in time for Halloween.
In the video, a haunting voice says: "Dead man’s bones must wait to rise, from the house where shadows cry.
"All of this must change October 27, when our ghosts must leave our world for this, to dance with us at twilight time, and bring your hand to lie in mine.”
Dead Man's Bones' first album, which saw them collaborate with the Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir, heavily leaned on ideas of monsters and ghosts.
The announcement comes after Ryan's partner Eva Mendes has dropped a massive hint that new music was on the way.
She wrote on her own Instagram page: "Trying to summon new music from Dead Man’s Bones."
She added in another post: "Wouldn't be spooky season without DEAD MAN'S BONES. Sure with they had new music coming out..."
When a fan asked if she knew "something we don't", she quipped: "Maybe I do..."
After the announcement Eva wrote: "He came through on his promise to me.”
Earlier this year, Ryan opened up about how he and Zach first bonded over a shared love for Disneyland's Haunted Mansion attracted.
He told NME: "When I went on the Haunted Mansion ride when I was 12, it presented [death] like: ‘Well, maybe it’s not so bad or scary. Maybe it’s fun.’
"So it just clicked for me. I’ve always loved that [Haunted Mansion] ride and Disney’s approach to scary things, like [Walt Disney’s 1929 short film] The Skeleton Dance and [1937 cartoon] The Old Mill.
"They’ve an angle on [scary things] that’s very unique.”
When the duo - who haven't performed live since 2010 - hit the studio, they went in with the idea of playing every instrument themselves.
The actor admitted: "The goal was to figure it out. There was a quality to [that approach] that we liked, but I’m sure we had people come in and help make [the album] actually work."
