In a rare act of community-driven development, residents of Radhpu village have pooled in Rs 30 lakh from their own resources to build the Government Residential School at Radhpu.

Without waiting for government sanction and with no conditions attached, the villagers themselves started the construction and have already brought the structure up to plinth level through shramdaan and collective funding.
The initiative has drawn wide appreciation, being described as a model of Atmanirbharta at the grassroots. At a time when most villages depend entirely on government schemes for infrastructure, Radhpu has shown how collective resolve for education can bring real change.

Toko Tatung, MLA Yachuli noted that the move reflects a deep understanding that education is the foundation of societal progress. By investing in a school building for their children, the villagers have taken direct responsibility for their future.
The effort was led on the ground by the local Construction Committee comprising Tar Takam as Chairman, Debia Teji as Treasurer-cum-Site Incharge and Tar Kasha, GPC, whose sustained leadership made the work possible.
Tatung said hoping that Radhpu’s example will motivate other villages in Keyi Panyor and across Arunachal Pradesh to take similar self-help initiatives, especially in the education sector.
