The Philadelphia Eagles have faced immense criticism recently over their handling of quarterback Jalen Hurts leading up to his blood clots diagnosis.
The NFL reportedly looked into the matter and according to insider Jonathan Jones of The Athletic, the league believes that it was "handled appropriately."
"The source, speaking to The Athletic on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to discuss the matter publicly, says the NFL will not issue any punishment to the Eagles for its handling of the medical process, or for Hurts not being given an injury designation ahead of the game," Jones wrote on Tuesday afternoon.
Hurts and the Eagles lost their third straight game in Week 5, falling to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 19-17, on Oct. 11 at Tottenham Stadium in London.
The former Super Bowl MVP played the entire contest, going 21-for-40 with 220 passing yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.

Philadelphia then said on Thursday that Hurts had undergone an ultrasound one day before the London game (which revealed a blood clot in his calf), but doctors determined the signal-caller could safely play versus the Jaguars.
It was then reported Monday morning that Hurts would miss the rest of the season after doctors discovered multiple blood clots in his lung.
Former sixth-round pick Tanner McKee took over under center for the Eagles in Week 6 and went 26-for-45 with 215 passing yards, one touchdown and no interceptions during the team's 25-14 loss against the Carolina Panthers.
Philadelphia will look to snap its four-game losing streak when it hosts the Dallas Cowboys on "Monday Night Football" in Week 7.
