Earlier today, the Big Ten announced its kickoff time and broadcast networks for Halloween weekend, and Penn State will get another strange late afternoon kick time when they face Purdue at 4:15 PM EST on Big Ten Network.

Both the Nittany Lions and Boilermakers will be coming off bye weeks sporting 3-4 records and trying to get themselves back to .500 overall. Unlike PSU, Purdue has actually won a couple of Big Ten games, sporting a 2-2 record in conference with wins over Illinois and Minnesota, but will be coming off a loss to Washington at home.
This will mark the first meeting between the two programs since 2022, when PSU won 35-31 at Purdue on a game-winning two-minute drill in a back-and-forth affair, and will be the first matchup at Beaver Stadium since 2019, when the Nittany Lions lit up the Boilers, 35-7. Purdue has only beaten PSU once in Happy Valley, a 20-13 victory in 2004 in what was ironically the first-ever student section “White Out.” Let’s hope for the fan base’s sake that it remains that way, because if you thought the pitchforks and torches were already out…hoo boy, you ain’t seen nothing yet!
