Penalties and fog kept Tenino from getting going early in Hoquiam on Friday, but the Beavers scored the final 28 points of the game and shut out the Grizzlies over the final three frames to come away with a 28-14 victory.
Hoquiam scored the game's first two touchdowns through the air in the first quarter, but Evan Morey got the Beavers on the board with a rushing touchdown in the second quarter.
Kamron Burrows also scored for Tenino in the second quarter, but the PAT was no good, leaving the Beavers down 14-13 heading into the half.
That score held until the fourth, when RJ Gates scored two rushing touchdowns to not only put Tenino in front, but to also give the Beavers some insurance.
Tenino (5-2, 1A Evergreen) will head to Elma next Friday, Oct. 23.
