Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams missed his third straight game in Week 5 due to a hamstring injury.
Following a pair of wins over the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets in Weeks 3 and 4, respectively, Chicago was routed by the Green Bay Packers, 31-7, on Sunday.
It was reported Sunday that Williams is "pushing to play" in Week 6 versus the Atlanta Falcons and NFL insider Ian Rapoport said Monday morning that "all signs point to" the former No. 1 overall pick returning to action for the contest.
Bears head coach Ben Johnson discussed his starting signal-caller's situation on Monday and wouldn't confirm if Williams will indeed be back under center against the Falcons.
Williams hasn't played since leaving Chicago's Week 2 loss versus the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth quarter with his injury.

Journeyman quarterback Case Keenum led Chicago to a "Monday Night Football" win over the Eagles in Week 3, but Johnson opted to start fourth-year pro Tyson Bagent in Weeks 4 and 5.
Bagent struggled against the Packers on Sunday before being benched for Keenum, who didn't fare much better.
Williams is 36-for-55 with 407 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception for a 92.0 passer rating in his two contests this year while adding 15 carries for 107 yards and two scores.
Bagent is 42-for-64 with 409 passing yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions for a 63.9 passer rating in his three games this season.
Keenum has gone 35-for-53 with 355 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception for an 89.7 passer rating in three contests this fall.
