Dubai: Global content creator and British entrepreneur Simon Squibb revealed that he has allocated the value of the $1 million prize he won during the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2025 to support and fund the dreams of thousands of people and help them turn their ambitions into reality.
He stressed that money in its essence represents energy that can be directed towards creating opportunities and empowering others with knowledge, skills and opportunities to achieve an economic impact that goes beyond the beneficiaries themselves, and extends to their families and communities.
Simon confirmed that his choice of Dubai as the headquarters for his business and team came from Dubai’s vision of anticipating the future and preparing for upcoming transformations. He said: “This characteristic that distinguishes Dubai is the same one that distinguishes successful entrepreneurs, whose success depends on anticipating new opportunities before they become an economic reality, and this place sees the vision that I see, and that is why I am here.”
He noted that content produced in minutes can reach millions of people around the world, opening up new horizons for individuals to build their brands and establish successful companies.
In detail, global content creator and British entrepreneur Simon Squibb said that he invested the value of the prize he won at the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2025 in supporting the dreams of others, adding that he funded thousands of people and helped promote their dreams, and continues to work on expanding the scope of this experience.
In statements on the sidelines of the press conference held by the 1 Billion Followers Summit today to announce the launch of his 100 Dreams initiative, he added that money, for him, represents energy that can be employed to help people.
He said injecting money into individuals and providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to build their businesses enables them to achieve greater economic returns, provide sources of income for their families, and contribute to the growth of the economy, which allows for the reinvestment of these returns in supporting more people.
He added that investing in people is not limited to providing funding, but also includes helping them acquire the knowledge necessary to achieve success, noting that enabling people to build their businesses and generate revenue from them creates a growing impact, as initial assistance can turn into successful projects, sources of income, and new job opportunities.
Regarding the reasons for choosing Dubai as the headquarters for his business and team, Squibb said that what distinguishes the emirate is its vision for the future and its ability to recognise the opportunities that will shape the economy in the coming years.
He added that a successful entrepreneur needs a future vision that helps him anticipate and prepare for transformations, noting that Dubai recognises the importance of media and content creation in the next stage, and believes in the opportunities that this sector provides for individuals and companies.
He said that media, along with capital and talent, has become one of the most important tools for growth and business building, explaining that content produced in minutes can reach millions of people around the world, which gives content creators a great ability to build a wide audience, develop their businesses and reach new markets.
He added that what he sees in Dubai aligns with his vision for the future of media, saying: “This place sees the vision that I see, and that’s why I’m here,” referring to the emirate’s belief in the opportunities offered by digital media and its ability to empower individuals to build their own projects.
He stressed that media created by individuals has become a growing investment opportunity, as the role of the content creator is no longer limited to producing videos or posts, but has become able to benefit from his audience to build a brand, establish a company and develop competitive products and services.
Squibb noted that he has around 27 million followers and his content achieves around 500 million views, considering that this fan base gives him the ability to reach large numbers of people and introduce them to opportunities and initiatives that can help them achieve their dreams.
He explained that the reach provided by digital platforms has changed the way the public is reached, as individuals can now deliver their ideas and messages to millions of people in a short time, which gives them the opportunity to expand their businesses and build direct relationships with their audience.
He added that the ability to reach the audience has become one of the most important elements of success in the digital economy, noting that content creators who succeed in building a broad audience base can benefit from it in developing business projects and turning their digital influence into economic value.
Squibb pointed out that the world is already witnessing examples of content creators who have managed to build large companies based on their audience and digital platforms, stressing that these transformations open the door for more individuals to enter the world of business and develop their own projects.
Regarding the importance of training in supporting entrepreneurs, Squibb explained that the basic principles of business management are learnable, and include skills in selling, building brands, raising funds, attracting and retaining customers.
He said that having an idea alone is not enough to establish a successful company, as idea owners need to learn how to turn them into products and services, reach customers, build sustainable relationships with them, and develop their businesses in a way that helps them grow and continue.
He added that providing entrepreneurs with knowledge and practical experience, along with financial support, helps them overcome the obstacles they face at the beginning of their projects, and gives them the necessary tools to transform their ideas into businesses that can grow and expand.
He pointed out that investing in people and developing their skills can yield returns that go beyond initial funding, through the establishment of new companies, the provision of income sources and job opportunities, and contributing to economic activity.
Squibb stressed that the rapid developments in artificial intelligence call for thinking about creating new job opportunities, in light of the transformations that may affect some traditional jobs, noting that the creative industries and digital media can contribute to providing new career and economic paths.
He said that the world is witnessing changes in the nature of work, which requires finding new opportunities that take advantage of human talents and creative abilities, considering that enabling individuals to establish their own projects in the digital media sector represents one of the promising fields.
He added that artificial intelligence can help creators develop their work and take advantage of technological tools to increase their productivity, noting that the opportunity lies in employing technology to serve creativity and expand its reach to the public.
He stressed the importance of investing in people who have creative ideas and skills, and helping them to turn these capabilities into economic projects, thus providing new opportunities in the labor market and keeping pace with the transformations taking place in the global economy.
