A familiar voice from some of the biggest stages in sports will be on the call when Alabama basketball faces Auburn in its final exhibition before the 2026-27 season.
Karl Ravech, the longtime ESPN broadcaster known for his coverage of Major League Baseball, college baseball and basketball, will handle play-by-play duties for the inaugural "The Feud" exhibition matchup on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Legacy Arena in Birmingham.
Ravech spent more than three decades with ESPN before being included in the network's July 2026 layoffs.
For the Alabama-Auburn exhibition, Ravech will be joined by two former players with ties to the rival programs.

Former Alabama standout Richard Hendrix and former Auburn standout Daymeon Fishback will serve as analysts, bringing perspectives from both sides of the rivalry to the broadcast, which will be streamed on the Knight Eady YouTube channel.
During Ravech's ESPN tenure, which began in 1993, he went from becoming a recognizable face on "SportsCenter" to serving as the lead voice of "Sunday Night Baseball" from 2022-25. Ravech continued calling select ESPN broadcasts following his layoff, including the 2026 Little League World Series in August.
The rivalry matchup marks the first of three scheduled meetings between Alabama and Auburn this season, with two regular-season SEC games to follow.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
