Serie A Sunday begins with the fallout from Allegri's sending-off (complete with a shocking remark about Roma) before turning to the action on the pitch, starting at 12:30 with Inter-Fiorentina.
Let's take a look at the morning's biggest news.
Juventus could face their worst start in 10 years
Juventus have picked up 11 points from their first 7 Serie A matches: to avoid their worst start in the last ten years, the Bianconeri must win at Lecce and move up to 14 points.
A draw would leave Spalletti on 12 points, the same tally Tudor had last season after the defeat to Lazio that led to his dismissal. Over the last decade, Pirlo and Thiago Motta also did better, with 16 points after 8 matches.
Milan: Cardinale reaffirms his faith in Amorim
Milan face Udinese amid a major selection crisis, with several players unavailable, including Chukwueze, Gabbia, Gila, Rabiot and Moreira.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, despite the difficult spell and tensions surrounding the Rossoneri, Cardinale continues to back Ruben Amorim's project. It is an important show of support for the Portuguese coach, who needs to get back to winning ways with a victory that would be crucial to their league campaign.
Inter: Dimarco asks for €7.5 million to renew his contract
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dimarco wants a pay rise to around €7.5 million per season, a figure that would make him one of Inter's highest-paid players.
His current contract expires in 2027, but the Nerazzurri have a unilateral option to extend it until 2028, which they could exercise in the coming months without rushing talks over a new deal.
His new agent Artur Canales will handle the renewal, but the club wants to maintain a sustainable financial policy.
Napoli: De Laurentiis applauds the team after 3-3 draw
According to TuttoNapoli, De Laurentiis went down to the dressing room at the Maradona after the 3-3 draw with Roma to congratulate the players, highlighting the character they showed on the pitch.
A show of faith despite a difficult spell: Allegri's Napoli have picked up just 11 points from their first 8 league matches and have managed only 4 wins in their first 11 competitive games across Serie A and the Champions League.
To find a start with so few wins, you have to go all the way back to the 2001/02 season, when the Azzurri were playing in Serie B.
Roma: decisive Balerdi moves closer to a permanent deal
After the 3-3 draw with Napoli, Castro celebrated Roma's comeback on social media: "A great show of character from the whole team. Let's keep it up".
Leonardo Balerdi, who scored twice, left a tongue-in-cheek comment beneath the post: "Thanks for the assist", accompanied by the nose emoji. The Argentine's second goal had, in fact, come from an accidental touch off Castro's face.
Balerdi then commented on the first brace of his career: "We wanted to win, but at least we're taking a point home". And on settling in at Roma: "I feel really comfortable here, I've said it from day one. It feels like I've been here for 2-3 years".
Lazio: Pinamonti hopes to recover in time for Sassuolo
Andrea Pinamonti missed the match against Parma because of tracheitis, with a fever developing on the morning of the game.
As Corriere dello Sport reports, the striker will try to recover in time for Tuesday's midweek fixture at 18:30 against his former club Sassuolo. If he is ruled out again, Noslin will once more start at centre-forward.
Fiorentina: Vanoli prepares his line-up to face Inter
Vanoli has a few selection decisions to make ahead of the clash with Inter, particularly on the left flank, where Viery and Valdepenas are competing for a starting spot. Dragusin and Pongracic retain their places in defence, while Ranieri remains unavailable with a foot problem.
Brescianini is expected to return in midfield alongside Fagioli and Ndour, with Oulai set for the bench. In attack, Mastantuono and Njie are set to keep their places on either side of Pellegrino, who is favoured over Beto.
Fiorentina's probable line-up (4-3-3): De Gea; Jimenez, Dragusin, Pongracic, Viery; Ndour, Fagioli, Brescianini; Mastantuono, Pellegrino, Njie.
