Amy Mitchell’s (Ellie Dadd) friends and family come to realise the horror she’s found herself in the middle of when she disappears with the abusive Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) in EastEnders next week.
The teen is currently firmly under the spell of the ex-copper, who has spent the last few months grooming her.
Forthcoming scenes in the BBC soap will see him further exert control after he manages to manipulate Amy into leaving Walford with him, sparking a frantic hunt from her loved ones to find her before she finds herself in serious danger.
After Amy finds a way to access her trust fund early, her dad, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), becomes suspicious.
When he meets his brother Max Branning (Jake Wood), their conversation is interrupted when Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) arrives and says he saw Amy and Craig preparing to leave Walford.
The brothers race across the Square, but they’re too late to stop the pair speeding away.
A frantic Jack uses his police connections to launch an official search, while also trying to keep news of Amy’s disappearance from wife Denise Fox (Diane Parish), so as not to give her added stress while undergoing chemotherapy.
Increasingly convinced Craig is responsible for some of Amy’s recent worrying behaviour, Jack and Max later break into his flat, and a bombshell is dropped.
As the search for Amy continues, Darnell Larson (Christopher Colquhoun) takes it upon himself to tell Denise about her disappearance, and the truth starts taking its toll on her health.
Meanwhile, an unexpected arrival touches down in Walford, and it could just be the perfect timing to help get Amy home – but who is it, and what has brought them to Albert Square?
EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 26th October at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
