This weekend will see Phnom Penh host the Cambodia Agriculture Forum and Exhibition 2026 (CAFE26), with 25,000 visitors expected to attend.
The three-day October 23 to 25 event will take place at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre on Koh Pich. More than 2,000 of the attendees will be farmers, with over 400 exhibition booths showcasing Cambodia’s growing agrifood sector, according to a joint press release.
The event aims to encourage partnerships that extend beyond the three-day event, supporting continued business engagement, market connections and the adoption of new technologies.
This year marks the second time the event has been run, and looks to build on the success of last year’s CAFE.
It will bring together government representatives, agricultural cooperatives, businesses, investors, financial institutions, young innovators and development partners to explore new opportunities for agricultural investment, trade, technology and innovation.
The event will be led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, in collaboration with relevant ministries, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), development partners and the private sector.
Visitors to the event will have opportunities to discover Cambodian agricultural products, modern farming machinery including drones, digital technologies, food processing and packaging solutions, as well as climate-smart innovations and financial services.
It will also provide opportunities for technology demonstrations, business networking and direct engagement between farmers, buyers, investors and agricultural businesses.
The event will feature several separate forums.
The Agriculture Investment Forum, taking place on October 23-24, will bring together policymakers, investors, financial institutions and agribusinesses to explore opportunities in agricultural investment, agro-processing, value addition, financing and market development. Discussions will focus on strengthening Cambodia’s agricultural competitiveness, expanding market access and encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors.
On October 25, the Youth Innovation Forum will provide a platform for young entrepreneurs, startups and innovators to showcase new ideas, exchange experiences, and connect with potential investors and business partners.
The Agricultural Cooperative Learning Forum, also scheduled for October 25, will bring together agricultural cooperatives from across Cambodia to share practical experiences, strengthen business and management skills, and explore opportunities for market connections and collaboration.
“As Cambodia seeks to expand agricultural processing, improve competitiveness and strengthen access to markets, CAFE26 will serve as a platform to connect investment and innovation with practical opportunities for farmers and businesses,” said the release.
