Peter Schiff, CEO of Euro Pacific Capital, issued a new warning to Bitcoin (BTC) investors. Schiff argued that a sharp decline in financial markets is possible and advised investors to sell Bitcoin and invest in gold.
Speaking on social media platform X, Schiff stated that he did not understand why the price of Bitcoin had not fallen further despite the current economic and political conditions.
Schiff stated in his post, “I really don’t understand why the Bitcoin price hasn’t fallen. The likelihood of Democrats gaining control of Congress is increasing. With inflation and bond yields rising, there are signs that the asset bubble is about to burst. The Bitcoin price should have been much lower by now.”
According to Schiff, political developments in the US, rising inflation, and bond yields are among the factors that could put pressure on risky assets. The renowned investor believes these conditions could lead to a broader correction in financial markets.
Schiff, in particular, highlighted the potential impact of rising bond yields on asset prices and expressed doubts about the sustainability of the current market outlook.
Schiff, known for his criticisms of Bitcoin, considers gold a long-term store of value. In his latest statement, he reiterated his view that people should invest in gold instead of Bitcoin.
Schiff’s assessments are based on the belief that Bitcoin’s current price levels do not adequately reflect economic risks. However, these statements reflect the investor’s personal market expectations.
Bitcoin’s future price movements will depend on global economic conditions, investor demand, and developments in financial markets. Whether the sharp decline predicted by Schiff will materialize remains uncertain.
