The investigation is focusing on the nature and quantities of the substances administered to Mazonakis while he was at the clinic. Investigators are also examining whether other people knew about the events that took place there that afternoon.

The investigation is concentrating on three substances: two used for anesthesia and sedation, and a third that acts as an antidote to reverse sedation.
Authorities are also investigating how the anesthetic substances came to be at the clinic, given that they are intended exclusively for hospital use. Investigators are seeking to establish their origin and how they were obtained.
The serial numbers on two vials of flumazenil found at the office are expected to help clarify how the medication was supplied to the two doctors working there. Flumazenil is used to reverse the effects of midazolam, a sedative.
Official toxicology results still pending
Tests conducted abroad at the initiative of Mazonakis’ family have raised serious questions about the substances detected in his body. Authorities are awaiting the results of the official toxicology examinations, which are expected to provide a clearer picture of the substances and quantities involved.
According to findings presented by a technical adviser representing the family, eight different substances were detected in the singer’s body. These reportedly included propofol, an anesthetic, and midazolam, a sedative.
Olanzapine and aripiprazole were also detected in his blood. These medications are used to help stabilize mood and can have side effects including drowsiness, dizziness and low blood pressure.
The investigation is examining the possible combined effects of the substances, as well as the circumstances under which they were administered.
Digital evidence may lead to further questioning
Investigators are continuing to analyze the mobile phones and other digital devices belonging to people connected to the case.
They are examining communications involving an anesthesiologist who had knowledge of the procedure. The findings could lead to the anesthesiologist being summoned to provide explanations.
Authorities are also exploring whether other individuals were aware of what happened at the clinic and whether their actions or knowledge may be relevant to the investigation.
Doctors deny administering the substances
The two doctors facing charges in connection with the case deny administering the substances in question.
They also argue that the investigation is being deliberately accelerated, citing as a possible reason an eviction being pursued by the property owner.
The investigation continues as authorities await the official toxicology findings and assess the laboratory results, digital evidence and statements from those involved.
