Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday pledged to provide all necessary resources to Daanish schools, reaffirming the commitment to quality education and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning.
Speaking at the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education and Gauth AI, he welcomed the company’s donation of 4,000 free subscriptions to help students and teachers access modern educational tools.
Of these, 1,000 subscriptions will be allocated to teachers at Daanish schools.
The PM described Daanish schools as an important initiative providing free education and assured continued government support for the institutions.
Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja said the initiative aligned with the government’s vision of using digital technology to modernise education.
Maria Kohan, ByteDance’s Regional Director of Global Public Policy, said the launch of Gauth in Pakistan would further expand access to technology-based learning.
The AI-powered platform offers personalised tutoring, step-by-step explanations and interactive study tools.
Kohan said Gauth had more than 200 million users worldwide and would also provide 180 free subscriptions to local students.
