Barcelona’s summer recruitment is already paying dividends, with Karim Adeyemi emerging as one of Hansi Flick’s most effective attacking options despite starting only a handful of matches.
The German forward made another decisive contribution in Barcelona’s 4-1 victory over Galatasaray, coming off the bench in the 60th minute before scoring a superb goal to complete the rout.
His latest strike reinforced the value of a signing that has brought Barcelona an impressive return for an initial fee of just €22 million.
Adeyemi delivers goals despite limited Barcelona starts
Adeyemi’s numbers make a compelling case for his growing importance at Barcelona.
He has scored four goals and registered three assists despite starting just three matches, which shows how efficiently he has used his opportunities under Flick.
His contribution against Galatasaray was another example. Introduced for Anthony Gordon after the hour mark, Adeyemi found space and fired across goal to score a spectacular finish that put the result beyond doubt.

Although his role has often been limited to appearances from the bench, he has remained involved in the team’s success.
In total, Adeyemi has played 355 minutes, scoring once every 89 minutes on average.
Those figures underline why his signing is already looking like an astute piece of business for the Catalan club.
Barcelona’s UCL numbers highlight Adeyemi’s impact
Adeyemi’s influence has been particularly striking in Europe, as he has scored at an even more impressive rate in the Champions League, finding the net once every 47 minutes.
His campaign has included a spectacular long-range goal against Feyenoord, while his latest contribution in Istanbul added another highlight to his growing collection.
Against Galatasaray, Adeyemi attempted four shots, with two on target, and completed 15 of his 17 passes, giving him an 88% passing accuracy.
His ability to attack open spaces, threaten defenders directly and finish chances makes him a valuable option when opponents begin to tire.
It also gives Flick flexibility when deciding how to manage Barcelona’s attacking combinations across a demanding schedule.
Hansi Flick and Deco have found the right formula
Meanwhile, Adeyemi’s on-field battle with Gordon has added an interesting dynamic to Barcelona’s forward line.
Both players offer speed and directness, although their contributions can be used in different ways depending on the opposition and the state of the match.
Against Galatasaray, Gordon was given the starting opportunity before Adeyemi arrived to exploit the spaces opening up later in the contest.
For what it is worth, Adeyemi’s importance cannot be measured solely by starts or minutes played.
Rather, his ability to influence matches in short bursts is precisely what makes him such a useful member of the squad.
