Jalen Hurts’ developing injury situation is causing a lot of concern across the nation as the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback looks set to miss the remainder of the season.
Many find themselves asking how Hurts was put at such risk by those at the very top of the Eagles’ organisation. The health issue is not just impacting Hurts’ ability to play football but there are also wider health issues he’s facing as a result.
“Again, I’m not a medical expert. Same deal there. We get medical information from our guys, and we always put the players’ health first and foremost in every situation. That’s where we were,” Nick Sirianni said on Monday.
However, the reasoning is not going down well with people on the outside as Hurts was seemingly placed at risk after being allowed to fly back to the United States following the game in London. Former NFL nose tackle Breiden Fehoko has spoken publicly on his X account to criticise the organisation for allowing this to all unfold.
Howie Roseman told to walk after Eagles suffer huge Jalen Hurts blow
Over the years, Roseman has been widely praised for his work as the general manager of the Philadelphia Eagles. This is certainly not his finest hour and he is definitely being held accountable by former players and fans alike.
“Howie Roseman needs to be fired. Fire that fake Tony soprano stunt double. Fire everyone involved with this organisation. You knew he had a blood clot, told him not to sleep and then cleared him to PLAY! F*** the NFL,” Fehoko said on X.
Roseman has pulled off some impressive acquisitions for the Eagles in the past but the organisation has failed at the basic level of care for their players in this instance. It is the fact that Hurts’ issue was seemingly apparent following medical checks and he was still cleared to fly home that is concerning people outside of the team.
There is a feeling that someone needs to be held accountable for putting the team’s star player at such a risk and clearly Roseman is being named as that guy. Given the severity of the issue, the Eagles’ end to the season will be the last thing on the mind for a lot of people after Hurts’ health has been placed under such risk.
