Cardano has just completed a death cross on its 2-hour charts, and ADA's short-term price direction is now in the spotlight.
Traders often look for the death cross pattern using the 50-day and 200-day moving averages. Crosses can also happen on intraday charts using a shorter time frame. The significance depends on which averages you are looking at and the bigger market trend.
The MA 50 fell below the MA 200 on the 2-hour chart, completing a death cross. This signal follows Cardano seeing profit-taking in the past week. Cardano (ADA) rose to a high of $0.283 before dropping for three consecutive days to $0.224.

ADA short-term price warning?
The death cross signal alone does not confirm that a deeper decline is coming; the key question is whether ADA confirms the pattern with continued selling or recovers enough to invalidate the short-term bearish setup.
However, moving-average crossovers are lagging indicators of price action and can produce false signals, particularly in choppy or range-bound markets. A pick-up in buying volume or a sustained move back above the pertinent averages could take the edge off the bearish view.
