Mountain rescue volunteers were called out to help a group of walkers who became lost on a hill in the Trossachs on Tuesday night.
Members of Lomond Mountain Rescue Team received reports of four people in need of assistance as they descended Ben Venue towards Loch Katrine.
The group became lost after choosing to descend the north side of the mountain, which Lomond MRT said was “significantly more challenging”.
A spokesperson said: “A small group of team members were deployed to meet the hillwalkers and escort them over the Bealach nam Bo and back to their car at Loch Achray.
“It is a timely reminder that, while there are route guides which suggest this way down Ben Venue, the terrain on the north side of Ben Venue is significantly more challenging, requiring well-honed navigation and route finding skills to successfully find one’s way to the base of the hill.”
