By Zoila Palma: Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning “in the strongest terms the Houthi attacks on Riyadh last week.”
Belize says that it stands “in solidarity with the Government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and extend our condolences to the families of those affected.”
“Attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are indefensible and violate international humanitarian law. We call for an immediate end to such attacks, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all States, and a peaceful, UN-led political settlement in Yemen,” the statement further added.
The city continues to reel from attacks that have killed at least 14 people in recent days.
