According to a post shared by Nigerian X user @Tunyflo009, the husband had spent years praying with his wife, visiting hospitals and paying for medical tests as the couple tried to understand why they had not conceived.
Despite the challenges, the man reportedly refused to take the advice of people who encouraged him to marry a second wife. Instead, he remained committed to his marriage, hoping that they would eventually have a child together.

However, the situation took a heartbreaking turn when he allegedly discovered that his wife had secretly been taking contraceptive pills to avoid getting pregnant.
The revelation reportedly left questions about the trust and honesty in their marriage, particularly because the husband had spent years believing that they were jointly trying to conceive.
The X user described the alleged actions as a betrayal, questioning whether a marriage could survive such a discovery after seven years of trying for a child.
The post has since attracted reactions online, with social media users sharing differing opinions on the wife's alleged decision, the husband's commitment and the importance of honesty between partners.
While some may view the alleged concealment as a serious breach of trust, the circumstances surrounding the woman's decision remain unclear from the account shared online.
The account also does not establish whether the couple had discussed their reproductive choices privately or what motivated the wife's alleged actions.
The incident has nevertheless sparked a wider conversation about fertility struggles, reproductive autonomy, communication and trust in marriage.
