BMW stolen after two people seen ‘acting suspiciously’ in Kilmarnock

A BMW was stolen in Kilmarnock after two people were seen “acting suspiciously”.

The blue BMW i5 was stolen from Jean Armour Drive in the Moorfield area in the early hours of Wednesday, 7 October, 2026.

The vehicle was initially tracked to the Mount House Estate nearby and enquiries indicate the car then left Ayrshire via Mauchline and Muirkirk using false plates.

Detective Constable Alan Roy said: “We understand that two people were seen acting suspiciously in the Moorfield and Dundonald Road areas in the early hours of the morning.

“We ask the community to check any CCTV or video doorbell footage between 2am and 5am on Wednesday, 7 October. We would also be keen to hear from any residents who noticed any suspicious activity in the area over the previous week.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 0656 of October 7. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.

“Vehicles fitted with a contactless key are susceptible to a type of theft own as ‘relay theft’ where criminals use an electronic device to clone your key fob or capture its signal.
