Train services on the upcountry railway line were disrupted again this morning (17) after a large amount of soil from a mound near Kadigamuwa Railway Station fell onto the tracks.
The incident delayed a train travelling from Polgahawela to Gampola, as well as train services operating towards Gampola and Colombo Fort.
Although a large amount of soil has been removed, railway workers are continuing to clear the remaining soil from the tracks.
The incident was reported at around 5.15 a.m. today.
