Supporting a good cause comes in all different forms, this one comes with Michelin-starred tapas, a stunning location and a live band. On Saturday, October 24, the Higueron Hotel in Fuengirola is hosting a charity afternoon party in aid of breast cancer research and patient support. A wonderful way to spend the day, starting with lunch and carrying on into the evening
What is the Higueron Charity Gala 2026?
Organised by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Malaga and Higueron Gran Malaga Resort, the gala starts at 2pm at the Higueron Hotel in Fuengirola. Proceeds go towards cancer research and the free services the association provides to breast cancer patients and their families. It also forms part of the events marking World Breast Cancer Day on October 19.
Local AECC branches in Mijas, Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola are running the day, so the services it funds are right on your doorstep.
Michelin-star tapas and live music
Talented chef Chef Diego Gallegos, who leads the Michelin-starred Sollo restaurant at the resort, has designed a special tapas menu for the afternoon. He is known for creative, delicious and sustainable cooking.
Four acts will provide the soundtrack for the afternoon, including: Cantando Bajito, Encarni Navarro, Señor Mirinda and Vintage Experience with Federico de Juan hosting the event.
Residents may remember the previous charity dinners held at the same venue, which drew 320 guests in February 2024 and more than 300 in February 2025, both evenings supported the same four branches.
