A man has been charged after a stolen car was set on fire and abandoned on a golf course in Clydebank.
The vehicle was stolen from a property on Ocean Field in the early hours on Sunday.
It was later found burnt out in a bunker on the second hole of Overtoun Golf Course, on Mountblow Road.
Overtoun Golf Club said the car was discovered by two golfers taking part in its Texas Scramble competition on Sunday.

“Sad to see what the guys encountered at 6.30am Sunday morning,” the club said in a statement. “Not the start to the day they wanted or expected.
“The 2nd hole has been damaged several times this year by bikes but this has taken it to a new level! When I got sent the photo of it in flames, I genuinely thought it was AI and the guys having a laugh, but it was very real.
“No one at Dalmuir Golf Course can control or prevent this, but yet again, a kick in the teeth for everyone trying so hard to maintain our course to the highest standards they can, and they now have a recovery operation on their hands, which will cause more damage to the surrounding area.”
A 34-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of a car from a property on Ocean Field in Clydebank that was later found on fire on Mountblow Road.
“The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday, October 11. The man is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 15.”
