Sporting Club Delhi are set for a challenging encounter against Mohun Bagan Super Giant as both teams look to improve their early-season form in the ISL 2026-27. The hosts will hope to build on their promising performance against Bengaluru FC, while the Kolkata-based side will be determined to return to winning ways after a disappointing result in their previous outing.
Sporting Club Delhi Look to Build on Promising Start
Sporting Club Delhi showed attacking intent in their opening match against Bengaluru FC last week. Despite taking a half-time lead, the team suffered a 3-2 defeat after conceding a late goal in the 89th minute.
Head coach Tomasz Tchórz will expect his young squad to maintain the same energy and attacking approach against Mohun Bagan. Playing at home could provide the Phoenixes with an additional advantage as they look to secure their first points of the campaign.
Delhi will also need to improve their defensive organisation and maintain concentration throughout the match. Against a team with Mohun Bagan's attacking quality, defensive errors could prove costly.

Mohun Bagan Aim to Bounce Back
Mohun Bagan Super Giant will enter the contest looking to recover from their late defeat against NorthEast United FC on Monday. The setback will motivate the Mariners to deliver a stronger performance and get their campaign back on track.
The team will look to make the most of its attacking options while maintaining greater composure in crucial moments. Their ability to capitalise on scoring opportunities and contain Delhi's forward movements could play a key role in determining the outcome.
Mohun Bagan will also be aware that Sporting Club Delhi have already demonstrated their ability to compete against strong opposition. The visitors will need to remain disciplined and avoid giving the hosts opportunities to take control of the game.
