Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has ordered immediate disciplinary action against employees found absent or arriving late to work at the Sindh Industrial and Trading Estate (SITE) in Karachi.
The directive came during a surprise visit to SITE, where the minister personally checked attendance registers and reviewed the performance of various departments.
Accompanied by SITE Managing Director Ahmed Fawad Shah, Dharejo instructed officials to take action against employees who failed to follow office timings.
He also warned that employees violating attendance rules would face strict legal and administrative action.
During the inspection, the minister reviewed cleanliness, security arrangements, and workplace discipline, directing the management to address shortcomings and improve overall operations.
He also emphasized the need to ensure transparency in administrative matters, improve departmental performance, and provide necessary facilities to the business community.
