Connectivity between Visakhapatnam and the national capital received a boost with Akasa Air launching a daily direct flight service between Delhi and ASR International Airport at Bhogapuram on Saturday.
Akasa Air is the third airline to operate direct flights on the route. The service is expected to cater to growing demand for air travel driven by business, government-related travel, education, tourism and visits to friends and relatives. It will also offer passengers greater seating capacity, schedule flexibility and competitive fares.
“The launch of Akasa Air’s daily direct service to Delhi marks an important milestone in strengthening connectivity between Visakhapatnam and the national capital,” said Kanwarbir Singh Kalra, CEO of GVIAL.
Flight QP 1842 departs Delhi at 5.55 a.m. and arrives at Visakhapatnam at 8.20 a.m. Flight QP 1843 departs Visakhapatnam at 9.05 a.m. and arrives in Delhi at 11.30 a.m.
