bKash was named "Fintech Innovation of the Year" in the MFS/DFS category at the fourth Bangladesh Fintech Award, earning its fourth consecutive recognition.
According to the press release, the company also received honourable mentions in the Payment and Digital Lending categories for its contactless payment and merchant loan services.
The Bangladesh Fintech Forum recently honoured organisations for innovation, impact, and leadership in financial technology, and Azmal Huda, bKash's chief product and technology officer, received the awards on behalf of the company alongside senior officials.
"The bKash Impact", the company's financial inclusion initiative, won the MFS/DFS award for bringing low-income and unbanked people into formal financial services, including savings, loans, payments and remittances.
"bKash NFC" received an honourable mention in the Payment category for enabling contactless payments.
"bKash Merchant Loan" earned an honourable mention in Digital Lending for expanding access to collateral-free credit for small and micro-entrepreneurs.
The recognition highlighted bKash's contribution to digital financial inclusion through technology and financial solutions.
This year's fourth Bangladesh Fintech Award recognised 13 winners and awarded eight honourable mentions across various categories.
