The New York Jets are at home in East Rutherford, New Jersey to take on the Miami Dolphins in the Jets’ seventh game of the 2026 season. The Jets will be looking to get back on the winning track after dropping a hard fought game on the road against the New England Patriots last week.
These two teams last met in a 34 – 10 Dolphins thrashing of the Jets last December. The Dolphins have won six of the last seven and 16 of the last 20 games between these two teams. The Dolphins lead the overall series 63 – 57 – 1. With the Dolphins clearly tanking this season in hopes of a top draft pick in 2027, they have opened their 2026 campaign with five straight losses. If the Jets can’t beat this team at home, Aaron Glenn’s seat as head coach of the New York Jets will be incendiary.
Let’s make a few predictions for the game on Sunday.
- The Jets hold the Dolphins offense under 150 passing yards and under 250 total yards.
- The Jets defense forces at least two Dolphins turnovers.
- No Dolphins receiver has more than 50 receiving yards in the game.
- At no point in the second half do the Dolphins get closer than a touchdown to the Jets.
- Geno Smith passes for 250+ yards, 2+ touchdowns and 0 interceptions.
- The Jets cruise to a 27 – 13 victory.
